Prolific Prep will have a five-star and consensus top five prospect running the show next season. Caleb Holt, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound rising senior guard, is headed to Fort Lauderdale to play for head coach Ryan Bernardi, he announced.

Holt is known for his downhill driving ability, but he also has an elite mid-range game and capable 3-ball. Defensively, Holt is a pest and can guard anyone one-through-four.

“We could not be more excited to welcome Caleb Holt and his family to ours,” Bernardi told ZAGSBLOG. “Caleb is the ultimate winner and has every tool to be an absolute star.”

This summer, Holt has led his Game Elite squad to an undefeated 8-0 record and atop the 3SSB standings, tied with BABC. The five-star’s averaged 21.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.9 steals per game while shooting 64.1 % from the field and 9-of-28 (32.1%) from 3-point range this spring. Some of his most impressive outings include a 27-point game vs. Phenom United and a near triple-double with 18 points, nine rebounds and eight assists vs. New World.

With Grayson High School (GA) as a junior, Holt led his team in points, rebounds, assists and steals as the Rams finished 28-3 with a top-15 national high school ranking. Grayson won regionals and reached the final four of the class 6A Georgia state tournament. Holt previously played his freshman and sophomore seasons in Alabama with Buckhorn. He won state titles both years as well as the state’s Mr. Basketball award and Gatorade Player of the Year award as a sophomore.

Most recently, Holt was named the MVP of the Adidas Eurocamp in Italy, where he led the 3SSB Select squad to a tournament championship.

Bernardi has now coached a five-star prospect every season since being named head coach on April 8, 2022. Notable players to play under Bernardi include Aden Holloway, Aiden Sherrell, AJ Dybantsa, Derrion Reid, Tyran Stokes, Yves Missi, Zoom Diallo and Darryn Peterson last season.

In 2024-25, Prolific Prep won the Grind Session World Championships for the third-straight year and ended up with a No. 6 seed in Chipotle Nationals. The Peterson-led squad beat Kiyan Anthony and Long Island Lutheran in the first round of Chipotle before falling to Dynamic Prep in the semifinals.

Holt will play alongside two other five-star prospects including 2027 big man Obinna Ekezie and 2027 small forward Gabe Nesmith. Prolific Prep is also set to return three-star class of 2026 guards Rajan Roberts and Seven Spurlock, among others.
